Chakra Colors and their Meaning

There are many ways to visualize the energy of the chakras within the body. One of the easiest ways is to visualise the colors associated with each energy wheel.

From the base to the crown:

Muladhara Chakra, the root chakra our sense of security. The element represented in the root chakra is earth and the color is red.  Visualise a deep red, like a terracotta  clay.

Swadhistana Chakra is governed by the element of water. The color is orange, consider the liquidity of a juicy fruit such as a mango, satsuma, or an orange

Manipura Chakra is positioned just about the navel and the element is fire. Consider the phrase " a fire in the belly". The color associated is yellow, like the tip of a flame. Stoking the fire of manipura chakra creates determination and drive.

Anahata, the heart centre. The glorious color of green. Unconditional love and bliss stretching out through the arms and finger tips. The element of Anahata is air. The air of the lungs, which create life and also can be used to stoke the fire below of Manipura.
