Simple Meditation Tips
Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique, such as mindfulness or focused attention, to train the mind and induce a state of relaxation and calmness. To meditate, follow these steps:

Find a quiet, comfortable place to sit or lie down. If you are seated in a chair, ensure your feet are grounded on the floor.

Close your eyes (if that feels right for you) and take a few deep breaths.

Focus your attention on your breath, or on a word or phrase that you repeat to yourself.

When your mind wanders (and it will :-) ), gently redirect your attention back to your breath or chosen focus.

Continue to meditate for a set amount of time, such as 10 or 20 minutes.
